Books-A-Million Semiannual Coffee for the Troops Event

Coffee for the Troops is a company-wide event which allows our associates and customers to donate a bag of Joe Muggs coffee to military service members and Veterans in VA Hospitals here in the United States, and deployed service men and women overseas.

We are also excited to partner with Royal Cup – our coffee distributor – for this program. At the end of this program Royal Cup graciously matches 10% of all bags that are donated across all of our stores!

This is a great opportunity for an amazing giveback program benefiting Veterans and Active-Duty Military personnel!

Books-A-Million and 2nd & Charles have been advocates for Coffee for the Troops since 2012. Books-A-Million and 2nd & Charles work directly with an organization called Soldiers’ Angels which was started by Patti Patton-Bader. Patti who is the mother of two soldiers, started Soldiers’ Angels when she learned that some soldiers in her son’s deployed units did not receive any mail or support from home. Ms. Bader quickly contacted friends and extended family and within a few months, Soldiers’ Angels went from a mother sending a few packages and letters to an online community with thousands of Angels worldwide. Soldiers’ Angels currently supports tens of thousands of American military personnel around the world and here at home. We are excited to be a part of this ongoing campaign to support our troops!
