Dia de los Muertos Ofrenda Contest!

Monday, October 28^th – Saturday, November 2nd

Continuing with the fun Halloween celebrations we are excited to announce that the center will host a Day of the Dead Ofrenda Altar community competition! Retailers and local community organizations can unleash their creativity by creating an ofrenda altar. The Ofrendas will be displayed all over the center as an exhibit for the community to enjoy and take pictures. On the exhibit’s last day, the management team will pick a winner.

What is an Ofrenda Altar? During the yearly and customarily Mexican Día de los Muertos celebration, an ofrenda altar is usually customed to honor those loved ones. Altars include decorations with objects, your family’s favorite food/drinks, flowers, pictures, etc.

To sign up to create a display, participants may call or come into the management office at (708)499-0841 or email Yahayra Argueta at yahayra.argueta@jll.com. Registration is now open and will close on Monday, October 21th at 3 p.m. A list of all the items on display must be shared with Yahayra by 3 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23^rd.
